The model consists of three components:
Theoretical principles: These include "Principles and fundamental aspects of our translation work", and the DIN EN 15038 standard covering translation services.
Practical execution:
Basic principles of practical translation work
Agreement, determination and monitoring of the order and processing criteria of translations.
The translation preparation includes among other things the following points:
Registration
We document each translation project taken on using AAL (order recording -order checking-head card) and WAUA (in-house program for order processing, dunning procedures, statistics and accounting).
With the help of this registration, we can determine and understand the project status at any time.
Assignment
We use highly qualified employees for each translation job to fulfil the customer's requirements. All assignment processes are documented.
Technical resources
We provide technical resources necessary for the respective project.
Linguistic aspects
We ensure that the linguistic requirements of the translation project are recorded in the Order Specification. These requirements also include the instructions of the customer such as stylistic guidelines, terminology, target group and intended use.
Analysis of source text
We analyse the source text to identify and anticipate potential problems in advance.
Terminology work
In the event that a terminology compilation is necessary for the translation and this is not available, we can create such a compilation as a value-added service.
Stylistic guidelines
We use our own stylistic guidelines if the customer does not specify any.
